“House Pot” is a weekly event series at Cafe Asif, featuring various guests who cook a dish that symbolizes “home” for them.
Habib and Minerva Daud, from Ezba Restaurant in the north and Kabakeh in Jaffa, will join the “House Pot” project at Cafe Asif to prepare a festive Christmas dish on Christmas Eve.
The pair will cook mograbieh (the Levantine cousin of Moroccan couscous), a dish of chicken or beef with slow-cooked onion, chickpeas, foraged greens like akoub, zucchini, and maftoul (a hand-rolled bulgur wrapped in flour).
