One of the mitzvot of Purim is celebrating the survival of the Jews in ancient Persia with a feast. This year, acclaimed cookbook author Rottem Lieberson will serve one at Cafe Asif. She’s making the herb stew khoresh sabzi, rice with tahdig, and faloodeh sib with apples, rose water and a local alcohol, plus sweets like marzipan and carrot and pistachio halwa, which you can enjoy at the Cafe or take home.
