Erez Komarovsky Chef and baker

One of the founding fathers of the new Israeli kitchen, Erez Komarovsky taught Israelis to eat sourdough bread with Lehem Erez, a chain of bakeries he founded in the 1990s and sold in the early 2000s. Today, he splits his life between Tel Aviv and Mattat in the western Galilee, where he cultivates a dazzling orchard, sharing the kitchen of the Galilee in his cookbooks and workshops. In 2008, he founded the Erez & Hanan catering company with his partner, chef Hanan Ezran. Together with the Yarzin Sella group, the two later created Baladi Chic, a delivery restaurant serving local home-style food, and Shawarma Weissberg in the Azrieli Sarona Tower.
