Asif Day is a day of events and activities, presenting and resuming the research process for exhibition A Kitchen of One’s Own: Nechama Rivlin. Citrus Aperitivo, a collaboration of Café Asif and Moli – House of Drinks, celebrates the late First Lady’s passion for citrus.
Citrus were an inseparable part of Nechama Rivlin’s kitchen. As a daughter of orchard farmers growing up in Moshav Herut, Nechama refused to buy lemons at the greengrocer’s her entire life, only using fruit she picked herself. Café Asif will host Moli – House of Drinks, a maker of alcoholic beverages flavored with local herbs, for an aperitivo of citrus-based drinks, accompanied by small citrusy dishes from Asif’s test kitchen.
