Havivian Farm stands among the pioneers of organic farming in Israel. Boaz and Michal Havivian, a farmer and chef duo, cultivate their crops in the fields of Moshavim Hodaya and Naham using sustainable biodynamic practices. Their delectable vegetables are delivered weekly to thousands of dedicated subscribers. Each delivery includes a leaflet featuring recipes, stories, and information about the vegetables. Hedai Offaim notes, “The Havivian family has revived the day-to-day connection with the farmers who grow the food we eat, reminding us that food is fundamentally tied to the soil, seasons, sudden rains, heatwaves, sprouting, and wilting.”

Michal Waxman adds, “Apart from cultivating outstanding vegetables, the Havivians excel in building and nurturing a thriving local community. Every Thursday, a market is set up in the farm’s fields in Moshav Naham, where locally grown produce is sold. In addition to vegetables, visitors can purchase bread from Ish Lechem bakery (from neighboring Moshav Taoz), cheeses from a small regional dairy, organic olive oil from Rish LaKish, nuts, flours, spreads, and more. Hungry patrons are invited to savor food by chef Hagit Havivian, available on plates or to take away.”
