Morito

Husband and wife team Sam and Sam Clark are the duo behind London’s celebrated Moorish restaurant Moro and the tapas spot next door, Morito. Among the restaurant’s loyal clientele is chef Sami Tamimi, who recommended this book for the Asif library collection. Tamimi explains: “I always loved their style of cooking and I’ve also been a big fan of Morito since day one.”

The Clarks open the text of the book with an explanation of Morito, writing: “As the little sister of Moro, Morito is the noisier, more rebellious sibling, eager to experiment and explore.” Readers can enjoy that exploration through 150 recipes like za’atar flatbreads, squid ink rolls, radish and pomegranate salad, and a Seville orange gin martini.
